Sandia Software Services ("we", "us", "our") operates the TodoMelon application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.
Information We Collect
We collect the following information to provide and improve our service:
- Email address - used for account creation and passwordless authentication
- Task data - titles, descriptions, due dates, priorities, statuses, assigned persons, and scheduling information you enter
- Gamification data - seeds earned, watermelons grown, levels achieved, and streak information
- Push notification tokens - if you enable push notifications on your device
- Analytics events - app usage patterns such as feature usage and session duration
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to:
- Provide and maintain the TodoMelon task management service
- Authenticate your account via passwordless email login
- Track your gamification progress (seeds, watermelons, levels, streaks)
- Send push notifications if you have enabled them
- Improve the app based on usage patterns
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Supabase, a cloud-hosted PostgreSQL database located in the United States. We protect your data through:
- Row Level Security (RLS) - database policies ensure you can only access your own data
- Encrypted connections - all data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted via TLS
- Passwordless authentication - no passwords are stored; we use one-time codes sent to your email
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is used solely to provide the TodoMelon service.
Cookies
TodoMelon is a mobile app and single-page web application. We do not use cookies for tracking purposes.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (tasks, gamification records, and profile information) will be permanently deleted.
Children's Privacy
TodoMelon is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use of TodoMelon after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
